The layer assembly process of the MoS2 nanomembrane, grown by the CVD method, has been employed for Schottky-barrier solar cell fabrication. MoS2 growth, material characteristics, fabrication and characterization of Schottky-barrier solar cells are explained. Advantages of layered semiconductor MoS2 nanomembranes over conventional semiconductors in solar cell performance are probed through material and solar cell characterizations.
